Aegirine, Mt. Malosa, Zomba District, Malawi

The alkaline Pegmatites of the Zomba-Malosa complex of Malawi are famous for their unique geology and mineralogy. The mineral specimens of Aegirines, Arfvedsonite, Feldspars, and the rare unusual REE (Rare Earth Element) minerals are some of the best in the world.

This 2 1/4" x 2" piece has a dozen or more Aegirine crystals in a matrix of creamy egg shell Feldspar crystals. There is a single crystal I cannot identify which sits directly in the middle of the specimen. It is brown in color and looks very similar to specimens of dogtooth Calcite I have seen. This adds a unique and mysterious flare to this crystal cluster.

Aegirine aids in self empowerment by encouraging you to follow your truth without the need to conform to peer pressure. It can be very useful in cases of extreme negativity or personal attack (physical or psychic).

These midnight black crystals aid in confidence, self esteem and integrity. They help to focus on the goal at hand and see it through to completion.

Feldspar assists in detaching from the old baggage that no longer serves you. It encourages and provides support in issues of self awareness and self love.
