To me, Pink Aventurine is like a favorite warm, fuzzy blanket, embracing and enfolding one in joy and love.

Aventurine, White (Var. Quartz): White Aventurine is a wonderful meditation companion. It calms and stills the persistent mind chatter that can be so distracting. White Aventurine contains the shiny sparkles of Mica. Axinite: Axinite aids the process when submitting gracefully to change is needed. It is a wonderful grounding crystal. It can also be used to strike a balance between grounding and higher energy work (healing, meditation, psychic and higher communication, etc.).

Axinite inspires friendship and healthy relationships. Axinite carries a decidedly feminine energy. It helps transmit healing energy to and through the hands, increasing sensitivity to the energies. Use this stone when you are in service to others or need to fill your space with positive, loving energies.

Bowenite (Var. Antigorite) can assist with the deprogramming of mental confusion or rigidity caused by mental abuse and/or mind control. Bowenite is sometimes referred to as "New Jade", although it is not a jade at all. It is more commonly associated with the Serpentine Group. It has a transparent to semitransparent appearance and is usually a much higher grade of material.

Brazilianite is a wonderful healing stone, specifically working in the areas of the Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras. I feel it is also a healer of the heart, helping to find common ground in any challenging situation, helping to understand and empathize with all parties involved.

Brazilianite can soothe the emotions, ease anger/frustration, and help to face and conquer fears.

Physically, Brazilianite has been used to reduce fevers, inflammation, infections and stabilize the body temperature.

Brookite allows one to "go with the flow" of the moment. Assists one in withstanding what they perceive may be an intolerable situation. Buddstone is a marketing name for Verdite (Var. Fuchsite) which in turn is a tradename for a green ornamental stone. Buddstone is most often used with the issues of aging, including Alzheimer's, Dementia, Senility and general forgetfulness.

Buddstone is incredibly helpful to those who are coming into their own and/or need some support in the area of self empowerment.

Physically, Buddstone can help in the absorption of vital nutrients and minerals in the nutrition process.

Bustamite can be used in the removal of energy blockages and in realigning the energy channels. It can be used to activate and clear the heart chakra. Bustamite provides a calming influence during stressful situations/activities. Used in meditation, it provides a safe and sacred place where the soul is honored and the inner being can feel the perfection of health, harmony and the congruity of the universe. Conducive to dream state, stimulating the state of awareness. Provides access to angelic beings in the purity of light.

Cacoxenite: One of the most beautiful formations of this brown tufted mineral occurs within amethyst. When in amethyst, it is said to instill the concept of new things and new ideas to be brought forth. Provides a new mode of creativity and thought. This is a stone of ascension and is being used by many during the planetary alignments, world meditation and full and new moons. It can assist to increase spiritual awareness during these times and transfer healing energy to the Earth. **Cacoxenite is soft and fibrous on its own, so not recommended for charging water, creating elixirs, etc. However, usually Cacoxenite is encased in another mineral or crystal, mainly Amethyst, so a tumble or polished piece, for instance would work well. I personally would not use raw/natural.

Cactus Quartz: Cactus Quartz can be extremely useful to those who have experienced the loss of a loved one, bringing understanding of the process and assisting in transition for both. It is also able to activate and cleanse other minerals, to enhance and increase the energy of other minerals and to activate properties of same. It has been used to enhance the energy transfer of other minerals to stimulate healing on all levels. Cactus Quartz can be used to assist one in maintaining a field of protection, providing a shield from mental and/or physical harm. Cactus Quartz has been used to facilitate ascension, providing for a viewing of ones life on this plane, during this lifetime. It can assist in removing fear.

One story goes that when these crystals were first found in South Africa the color reminded the locals of a cleaning product called Metholated Spirits, hence the name Spirit Quartz. While this name has been attributed to Melody, and I have often been told it is trademarked, I do not see a trademark of the name in the US Trademark database.

It has been used in the treatment of obesity and hormonal imbalances.

**Most compounds of tin are toxic (poisonous). Tin compounds are most likely to present a hazard when they get into the air. Then, they may be inhaled, after which they can cause problems such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and cramps. On a personal note, I do not think ingestion would be a good idea either :)

Celadonite is a lime green form of Mica. Excellent Celadonite in quartz specimens from Madagascar provide properties similarly as chlorite-included quartz. Celadonite and quartz is a prime all-body healer which when used with other stones increases their effectiveness or "amperage" significantly. Celadonite specifically addresses cell membrane permeability and helps to transmit oxygen to body cells. It provides transference capabilities across the physical/electromagnetic interface, especially through the bloodstream.

Charoite: Charoite is a stone used to increase/understand the importance of selfless service. It brings to light/insight to a universal truth- that we are ALL part and parcel of the Divine, unconditional love energy. It is what we came from and what we will go back to once our time in this physical existence is complete.

Charoite is often recommended for those who suffer from Bipolar disorder to help find stability and balance. It can also be used to ease the symptoms of Depression.

Chiastolite (Var. Andalusite): This Chiastolite is often used as a sign of devotion, which can, in itself, dispel negativity. Chrysoprase (Var. Quartz): Chrysoprase helps to balance the Yin/Yang energies and align the Chakras to the Ethereal plane. Chrysoprase activates, opens and energizes the heart chakra, bringing the energy necessary to the physical body, through the loving energy of the heart.

Copal: Copal is a fossil resin of vegetable origin much younger than Amber and in fact, while often called/identified as Amber, it is not. Fulgurite: When lightning strikes the earth in sandy areas such as deserts or sandy beaches, the intense heat and energy of the bolt will fuse the sand grains in a millisecond. A branching, hollow, glassy tube is sometimes the result. These "fossil" lightning strikes are composed of lechatelierite and occasionally fused biotite or other minerals. Fulgurites are considered to be "Amorphous" meaning they have no crystalline structure.

Physically, Red Garnet is most often identified with blood and heart related issues, including Anemia, Circulation and as a blood cleanser. However, Red Garnet can be used for other issues such as Exhaustion.

Girasol is a type of opalized Quartz, which does not exhibit "fire". This stone teaches love and nonviolence, is known to assist with renewal of the relationship between self and "All That Is". Girasol is used to stimulate communication skills and to assist one in voicing thoughts and information which one has not been courageous enough to voice in the past. Glendonite (Var. Calcite): (Kola Peninsula in Russia) Glendonite is a calcite pseudomorph after Ikaite, which is a calcium carbonate. These brick red spiky balls consist of multiple dog's tooth crystals sticking out from a central growth point. The Crystalline Communion compares it to the Russian peoples spirit. This mineral brings out dogged determination and strength of will. A true mineral of reformation. It reminds us that we are NOT ever a victim of circumstance.

Himalayan Ice Quartz aka Ice Quartz aka Pink Ice Quartz: This particular type of quartz is part of a new find from the Kullu Pass in Northern India, Gateway to the Himalayans and also may be referred to as Kullu roses or Growth Interrupted crystals. The pink, from my understanding, comes from a dusting of Hematite during formation. Not all Ice Crystals have this pink color. Many are colorless and ice clear. It is also identified as a growth interference type of crystal. During formation, time and earth created these caverns and slices, shapes and faces.

Jeffrey's Quartz: This spectacular quartz is named after the mine from which it came. The Jeffrey Quarry, located in North Little Rock, AR, was the site of the discovery of solution quartz. The burr crystals formed in pockets of rectorite as many single crystals grew and interlocked together. Literally, millions of needle crystals were recovered from pockets of gel-like, rectorite-filled vugs in fractured quartz veins over the 15-year period that the site was open. The best crystals ever to come from this site have several common characteristics: water clear; open interlocked clusters and haystacks (haystacks have no attachment point, they formed as free-floaters in the veins) and brilliant luster. Many of these crystals are multi-terminated on one, if not both ends.

Other conditions that Lapis works well with are Epilepsy, OCD, Depression, Migraines/Headaches, Shingles and Sleep Apnea. Lapis is really a "must have" simply due to its versatility and width of scope.

Larimar: Larimar is a stone of blessings and intention. It aids in achieving remarkable clarity and truth in communications and expression.

Physically, Larimar is very helpful to those with Bipolar Disorder and Cancer. It removes and releases harmful toxins from the physical body while cleansing the etheric body at the same time. Use Larimar for issues of the lungs and throat, such as Asthma, Emphysema, Sinuses, Thyroid and the Lymphatic System.

Larimar removes/releases energy blockages such as the ones fear and guilt may construct. Larimar is healing on ALL levels.

Larvikite: Larvikite is a mineral that comes from Norway and is also known as Labradorite Feldspar or Blue Norwegian Moonstone. It has flecks of blue and silver schiller throughout.

Larvikite is wonderful for use in meditation and can assist one in true compassion.

For me, this is a high vibration stone, keeping the light of higher self, burning brightly, even when we on the physical plane are in doubt.

Lepidolite: Lepidolite contains trace amounts of Lithium (which gives Lepidolite is lovely lilac/lavender color). Due to this mineral inclusion, Lepidolite would be awesome to utilize when facing the challenges of ADD/ADHD, Bipolar disorder, or chronic Depression. Lepidolite can also ease the intensity of panic attacks or anxiety issues.

Lepidolite can be used to aid/intensify concentration and decision making. On a higher vibration, it can increase awareness of higher consciousness/cosmic consciousness, helping to access the Akashic Records and receiving information from Source.

Physically, Lepidolite can be utilized when facing addiction or other imbalances, such as Anorexia. Lepidolite is great for those who suffer from nightmares or sleep disorders like insomnia.

Lithium: Lithium can aid in achieving emotional balance and allows for smooth transitions. Lithium helps to find clarity and calm. Lithium works well as an additional tool to face addiction, depression, Bipolar Disease, or ADD/ADHD. Hold Lithium (in Quartz) when you feel overwhelmed. Lithium eases intense anger, mood swings, and/or grief.

If you feel a tad discombobulated, confused, and/or over burdened (physically, emotionally or mentally), Lithium (normally found as an inclusion in Quartz) can definitely be an option for you.

Magnesite: Magnesite helps to increase calm and relieve emotional stress. It can be utilized to find and maintain stability in relationships of all kinds.

Physically, Magnesite can be used as a helpful aid in Epilepsy. It is often the "go to" stone when needing some energy to help relieve the symptoms of PMS and the irritability that many times accompanies it.

Magnesite aids in reducing fever and chills, so perfect for the flu and cold season. Use Magnesite to ease headaches and migraines or as a natural muscle relaxer. Magnesite has also been used as a weight loss aid, a detoxifier, and a way to decrease body odor. Use Magnesite for issues of the bones and teeth.

Malachite: Malachite is often used to attract Abundance, heal the Heart and teach forgiveness.

Physically, it is used most often in healing applications for such issues as Arthritis/Bursitis, detoxification, strengthening the immune system and preventing infection/fighting infection.

Malachite works with lung issues such as Asthma, Emphysema and Bronchitis. It helps to ease the symptoms of Vertigo and has been used to ease the Birthing process. It has been used in conjunction with other crystals to aid in the treatment of Cancer and ease the effects of Radiation.

Note: However, I do want to share a caution here-I feel that Malachite should not be used in the treatment of tumors. It is my feeling (and others that I have studied) that because Malachite is green, and green represents "growth" that Malachite would in fact grow the tumor instead of helping to heal it. Of course, I have always said, there is NO one right way or wrong way, so if you feel strongly that Malachite could help in a situation like this, then I urge you to follow your own judgment/intuition. Manganocalcite (Pink Calcite): Manganocalcite is often associated with a deep connection to the Angelic Realms. It also is a stone of compassion and empathy. Manganocalcite helps to cool anger and ease irritability/anxieties. This is one of the most nurturing stones that I personally know of! It encourages us to face and release our fears, aids in forgiveness, eases grief and helps us connect to unconditional love.

Physically, Manganocalcite works with you to aid in balancing calcium levels, especially when there is a deficiency. Use Manganocalcite to strengthen the immune system, ease pain, and heal tissue damage.

Mochi Balls© aka Shaman Stones aka Maqui Marbles: Iron and sandstone concretions that come from the Southwestern area of the US. They are said to be named after a tribe of Native Americans who lived in the area of the Moqui Desert and used them a game similar to marbles. These specimens were sacred among the Shamanic members of ancient tribes and have been used visioning and journeying. Often, they are sold in pairs-the rounder marbles carry a decidedly female energy while the flatter, almost spaceship like pieces carry a male energy.

Moldavite: Moldavite can be used to access the Akashic Records as well as aid in the Ascension process. Since the energy is of a higher vibration, it is a wonderful piece to enhance higher heart issues such as unconditional love, compassion and empathy. It's presence is like a beautiful green light that leads us to the Ultimate Divine Light of Being.

Physically, Moldavite can be used when working with issues of Autism and Coma. Emotionally, Moldavite has been used to ease Emotional Trauma. It also helps to face and release/remove self imposed boundaries.

Mookaite (Moukaite): Colorful Mookaite is neither a Jasper or a Chalcedony. Mookaite is actually a local, unofficial name given to a type of silicified porcelainite found only in a specific geological formation (known as the Windalia Rediolarite) in Western Australia.

Colors: There are "Fire Opals" from Mexico that are named as such due to their fiery color. Then there are Precious Fire Opals which show a gemmy play of colors as seen in the picture to the left.

Pargasite: "When I communicate with a crystal, many times, I get visual pictures in my head. When I held Pargasite, I had to laugh. What I "got" was a picture of a grumpy old man, short, balding, white hair with a smirk on his face. He is sitting in a huge recliner looking at the TV. He is never really happy and spends most of his day complaining. He has an answer for everything and it is always bad. He is a skeptic, a judge of humanity and just plain rude. Peridot (Olivine): Peridot is one of the most helpful crystals out there to ease the intensity of emotional issues such as anger, jealousy, rage, and resentment. The color of Peridot (both yellow and green) work specifically with the Solar Plexus and Heart Chakras to release these emotions and understand how they affect our inner being. The movement of the frozen lake ice acting on the shore during the winters is thought to turn over stones at the shore of Lake Michigan exposing new Petoskey stones at the water's edge each spring. Similar fossil corals occur in a variety of locations, however the name Petoskey stone should only be applied to those from Michigan.

Petosky Stones are known to stimulate the third eye center and the intuitive self. They will enhance both psychic awareness and emotional awareness. It can help one to attain calm assurance in all activities.
