Kristi shares her remarkable story of the creation of MoonCave Crystals

My name is Kristi and I am MoonCave Crystals.

I was born and raised in South Carolina for the majority of my life. After some life altering events, I decided one day to relocate--literally. I chose Washington State. Many of you have heard the story --how I wanted a cabin in the woods, how I came to contact a woman in Florida whose mother had a cabin in Washington, how I sold everything I had to drive across the country and how the dream of my cabin did not work out exactly as planned.

I was alone over 3000 miles away from my Home.

Through a dear friend who had stayed connected with me via the internet, I was introduced to a woman who knew someone in Washington. She gave me a city and the name of a business. I drove there the next day and met Linda Glendenning of Cove Crystals. Now, I had never had a crystal in my life!! Knew nothing about them and here was this woman taking me around her shop putting all of these crystals and rocks into my hands. The cast of characters there, to this sheltered South Carolinian, was a bit daunting and I drove away from my first visit feeling as if I had just left the twilight zone. I laughed all the way back to Olympia!!

Well, needless to say that Universe had guided me to the exact place I needed to be, even though I did not know that just yet. Over the next few months, I felt drawn to return over and over to this crystal shop. Part of it was a sense of safety and familiarity. The other part was sheer curiousity. I began studying crystals, talking to other people about crystals and yes, my obsession with buying crystals began at this time as well.

A few years later, I began to watch Linda's crystal shop a couple of days a week, which gave me some much needed experience. Talking to her customers was always enlightening. I met many fascinating people-- Psychics, Reiki practioners, readers, numerologists, astrologists, mediums, healers, authors, and artists. Each taught me something (whether they knew it or not and whether I knew it or not at the time). I began to open up to the endless possibilities that were presented to me. I was an avid reader, researching everything I thought would help me to understand this new life I had embarked on. I became an unofficial "student" of the works of Edgar Cayce, Katrina Raphael, Deepok Chopra, The Dalai Lama and many, many other spiritual and metaphysical teachers.

Eventually, MoonCave Crystals was born from a dream. I knew nothing about web design or what it took to start a business. I knew I loved crystals and wanted to share, so the process of creation began. Learning the basics of web design was exciting and extremely frustrating too. I literally knew nothing. But with the help of some talented web savvy friends, I was able to muddle through until I found my own confidence.

So here I am, some years later, the proud owner of MoonCave Crystals. I am a staff of one. I am the webmistress, photographer, secretary, order taker and processor, packer and shipper. I personally choose each crystal on every order. I truly believe that good customer service is imperative and I hold myself to the highest standards. And, as many of you can attest, I am a bit obsessive compulsive with packing tape :)

The history of how MoonCave Crystals came to be, the wonderful and loving customers that I call "family", and my commitment to them, is what makes MoonCave Crystals unique in its approach and second to none in personalized service. I am glad you are here and I look forward to assisting you.
